8:00 - kick-off
The cricket desk opens with the morning brief at 8 am IST. Football editors pick up the Premier League run-in for the weekend. Tennis takes the early-round day matches. The live board is loaded with the day's fixtures; pre-match reads are still editable.
10:00 - first swing
The first football matches kick off. Cricket continues. The first tennis quarterfinals go live. The data desk provides updated xG tables every fifteen minutes; the cricket desk publishes the innings split.
12:00 - main slot
Three cricket matches in overlap. Two Premier League matches in overlap. One tennis semifinal. The desk is in full production mode. Captain-picks are republished at 12 and 4 pm IST. The prediction tool is updated for every match in play.
16:00 - late slot
The evening football kicks off. Cricket reaches the death overs. The desk holds the same rotation pattern. Customer care responds to last-minute questions about captain picks.
22:00 - wind-down
Most matches have closed. The weekly retrospective is written and published at 11 pm IST. The morning brief for Sunday is drafted; the editors sign off in the order of the next morning's fixtures.
The rules we keep
